教学目标After the class,

1. students can appreciate the poem, “A Red, Red rose.”  

2. understand the structure and the rhetoric in the poem.

教学过程:

Step 1: Lead in

Enjoy a song to lead in the topic. How do people show their love?

Steps2: Appreciate the poem A Red, Red Rose

1.work out the meaning of each line

Luve= love  melodie = melody thou= you art = are thee=you   gang=go  Till a’ the seas = Till all the seas  wi’ the sun= with the sun

the sands o’ life = the sands of life  Tho’ it were= Though it were   fare thee weel= fare you well, good bye

2. analyze the structure in the poem

3.understand the rhetoric in the poem

rhyme 押韵

repetition 重复

comparison 比拟
